The most explicit scenes were censored even in the so called uncensored version, but Shimoneta went far beyond the line of what some people call tasteful humor. While in Seitokai it was mainly verbal humor, Shimoneta went all the way with a lot of visual sexual comedy. The best way to describe Shimoneta’s comedy is to take Seitokai Yakuindomo, known for its overly sexual comedy, and put it on steroids.
*So let’s start with the thing which made this anime famous: the comedy. I watched three extra episodes of this anime 1 to see if it would start to make sense since it is my philosophy to never give up on an anime too soon, and 2 some of the characters were really lovable. To be totally honest if you disregard everything about the story itself, and just focus on the comedy of it for 20 minutes it's not that bad. There is no way to describe the absolute stupidity and comedy(dirty jokes) to be found in the anime. It is dirty without having to be like High School DxD and hilarious. Apparently the main character is on a mission to make everyone perverts, and does so while wearing panties over his head. It is about a world where everyone is so innocent that they can't tell when something is perverted. I tried to come up with a review but then I realized that I didn't understand this anime at all, so I'll do the best I can. Please get this anime and light novel translated and start season 2. The animation, while looking like a pretty standard anime, works perfectly well for the show, and the story is well paced, and has a good balance of action and general lewdity (I don't think that's a word but I couldn't think of a better way to describe it). While I generally hate when swear words are censored, covering them with dirty sound effects just makes it even funnier.
The characters are always entertaining and over the top, and make this show incredibly lively. Putting a ban on anything "lewd" is a definate no no in most peoples books, and I would totally join SOX myself if this was real.
I like a good revolution story, fighting oppressive establishments is always makes a good story, but this puts a new twist on it. However, if your parent's catch you watching this, it's one of those anime's where you might as well switch to porn. If you have a really dirty mind, or a mildly dirty mind, or just like seeing a bunch of random stupidity, this is the anime for you. I don't really know where to start on how good this anime is, but I'll try.
